What is GI glycamic index?
The body's preferred fuel is a sugar called glucose, which it make from suger and starch (carbohydrates), that found in our food that we eat. The glucose made in liver after digestion in the stomach. The converted glucose is then sent to the body's cells where it is either burned immediately as we run, walk or even think, or stored in the muscle and fat stores for later use. This happens with just about every food that contains carbohydrates, whether it is a bowl of rice or a plate of burger.
Food with a high glycamic index are convert very quickly to glucose.
Food with low glycamic index are covert slowly. Low GI food take longer to digest, so you feel full for longer.
